Babysitting turns into, "PETTEY TAKE MY PICTURES" sometimes... and I. love. it. No pressure to look perfect. No moms in the background telling their child to sit up straight or "no, do a real smile". Just fun!

The most interesting things happen to me.

My best friend asked me to shoot her brother's rehearsal dinner tonight in exchange for a free meal and who would pass that up?!

I've shot weddings, been the second shooter for a few weddings, and most recently, I've captured a few engagements. But tonight, something really magical happened. 

I stepped outside to take a shot of this cutie as we waited for the wedding party to arrive:

And I glance across the fountain and see a couple hand in hand. 

He kneels.

He pulls out a cloth.

There's a ring

(!!!!!!!!)

And I stand there mesmerized and realize "YOU BETTER TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS ELIZABETH PETTEY!" 

They whisper to each other for at least a minute so.in.love. as onlookers cheer.

And I'm in shock that I just happened to be in THAT place at that PERFECT time to capture it for them!
